Memories

Not a picture day, but a day of remembering. I'm coming to you today from my favorite spot on the couch with my writing buddy on my lap.  It hit me today that this is one of my final times to do so. No, I'm not stopping my blog, but my partner in crime isn't going to be around much longer.  Tigger is 16 years old and her health is failing quite rapidly. We have been having the 'do we take her to the vet' discussion for several days. So far, no, but she is getting close.

There is the sadness of our dear family member passing on, but the truth is, she has led a great life and we have been blessed to have her in our lives.  I can't tell you the number of cords she has chewed in half over the years, nor the number of dead birds and rodents she has left around for her poor dumb humans. She's cuddled with sick or sad kids and made sure we knew everything was ok in the house at 3am. Shes helped me cook dinner, always willing to clean up the floor(including the dorito I dropped one night) and been my lap warmer when its cold(or hot or really any temp).

It will be hard when she goes but I know in my heart that she will be waiting for me one day at the Rainbow Bridge.
